To acquire the Valfheim’s Amulet Enchantment Set in God of War: Ragnarok, you’ll need to participate and excel in a series of side quests located in Vanaheim. Completing the quest “Cure for the Dead” is one requirement for success. In this guide, I’ll show you how to complete Cure for the Dead Favor in God of War: Ragnarok.
After you finish the main story quest, “The Reckoning,” you’ll have access to Vanaheim’s hidden region, “Pilgrim’s Landing.” To start the Favor “Cure for the Dead,” go to Pilgrim’s Landing and talk to “Ghost Mari.” The following are the objectives of the quest:
- Finding the Items the Spirit Seeks
- Return to the Spirit
The only way to cure Mari is to find and get all three ingredients:
Ingredient #1
Go to the ledge and climb it. You will find a locked drawbridge. The next step is to burn vines by throwing Freya’s Sigil Arrows on fire. To lower the drawbridge, use an ax to cut the chains. Now the first Ingredient will fall on the ground, so pick it up.
Ingredient #2
After you find the first Ingredient, keep moving. Some enemies will appear and try to stop you, but take out the imps first, then go for the others. If you don’t kill them in this order, they’ll hinder your progress and eventually kill you. There’s a puddle on your left–walk past it to get to the Lore Marker a bit further ahead so that you can get the second Ingredient.
Ingredient #3
Ahead of you, there is a locked drawbridge at the second Ingredient’s location. Under it lies the third and final Ingredient. This obstacle will be more difficult to overcome than the last one–it eats your feet! But don’t worry; you will see a large chandelier on the right after the bridge.
Use your strength to break its chains and pull it over to light up the right brazier with your chaos blades. Then shoot Reya’s Sigil arrows into the left brazier; this action should set the vines on fire and lower the drawbridge. Finally, the third Ingredient will be found in the legendary Chest. Inside, you will find “Grip of the Fallen Alchemist ” and Odin’s Raven on a rock to the left of some water.
Now Go Back To Spirit to interact with Mari and finish the “Cure for the Dead.”
