Ghost of Tsushima Techniques Guide – How to Unlock, Upgrades, Technique Points Farming

Techniques are the most important aspect of your character in Ghost of Tsushima. These are skills that you can use in combat to gain an advantage over your opponents. In this Ghost of Tsushima guide, we’ll cover everything about unlocking new techniques, upgrading them, farming technique points, and some general tips and tricks.

Ghost of Tsushima Techniques

Techniques, as the name suggests, are skills you can use in combat. You can open up the main menu and select the ‘Techniques’ section to see the ones you’ve unlocked. You’ll need to have technique points to be able to unlock and upgrade different techniques. These skills vary greatly when it comes to their effects, therefore, it’s a good idea to play around different ones to see which complements your playstyle the best.

The most important thing when it comes to using techniques is your resolve. Indicated by small, yellow circles over your HP bar in the bottom-left corner of the HUD, you need to have resolve points to execute different techniques in combat. While most of the techniques require a single charge of resolve, upgraded versions may require more than one or two.

Farming Technique Points

Since you need to have technique points in order to unlock and upgrade different techniques, they’re pretty important. Luckily, there are multiple ways of earning technique points in Ghost of Tsushima. Some of these include:

  • Completing side missions
  • Defeating enemies out in the world
  • Pre-purchasing the game’s deluxe/collector edition

Please do note that the guide is currently work-in-progress. We’ll continue to add more information in the coming days.

That’s all we’ve got in our Ghost of Tsushima techniques guide. For more help on the game, you can check out our Ghost of Tsushima wiki guides.
