Gifting is an interesting mechanic in Ghost of Tsushima. Local folks will sometimes send you gifts for helping them out or clearing certain areas from under Mongol control. In this Ghost of Tsushima guide, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about how gifting works in the game, types of gifts you can receive, and how to receive more gifts.

Ghost of Tsushima Gifts

While roaming through the island of Tsushima, you’ll sometimes receive a notification pop-up telling you about a new gift at the nearest gift altar. These gifts are basically from the natives of the area who want to return the favor in some way. If you haven’t guessed already, people will send you gifts for liberating Mongol-controlled territories or simply completing optional missions.

Receiving gifts in Ghost of Tsushima is as simple as it can get. The game will notify you about the availability of a new gift every time it becomes available. You can learn more about how the gifting system works in the game by speaking to the NPC standing on the gift altar in the Golden Temple.

As you progress through the game, you’ll continue to unlock additional gift altars. It’s important to note that gifts sent to you by local folks will always be delivered to the nearest gift altar, therefore, you won’t really have to go out of your way a lot to pick them up.

When it comes to gifts themselves, there are basically 3 types of gifts that Jin can receive in the game. These include 100x supplies, some rare crafting materials, and masks/headpieces to customize your character to your liking.

Therefore, if you wish to receive more gifts, you need to partake in optional quests and liberate different Mongol-controlled areas.

That’s all we’ve got in our Ghost of Tsushima gifts guide. For more help on the game, you can check out our Ghost of Tsushima wiki guides.
