Genshin Impact Elemental Combos Guide – How to Perform Elemental Combos

To get through the tough combat situations of Genshin Impact you need to be aware of the game’s elemental system and elemental combos. There are different types of enemies in Genshin Impact and they come with their own strengths and weaknesses. Using the right elemental combo can do additional damage to enemies. In this guide, we will go through all elemental combos and elemental effects available in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact Element Combos and Effects Explained

Below you will find the entire list of available elementals in Genshin Impact.

  1. Cryo (Ice)
  2. Pyro (Fire)
  3. Hydro (Water)
  4. Anemo (Wind)
  5. Geo (Earth)
  6. Electro (Shoc)
  7. Dendro (Nature)

Elemental Effects can leave status effects on enemies but only if the right element is used. Enemies that susceptible to Cyro will get Ice damage, not fire, and vice versa. Here are all elemental effects available in Genshin Impact.

  • Cryo – Slows movements speed
  • Pyro – Fire damage of time
  • Hydro – Enemies get wet, ready for combo delivery
  • Electro – Wet enemies get shocked
  • Geo – Brings down enemy elemental damage and drops their energy shield orbs the player used for protection

Elemental combos are what you used against your enemies to deal additional damage by manipulating their weaknesses against certain elements. However, you deliver an elemental combo you need to know the perfect order to apply it on your enemies in Genshin Impact.

Burn Effect – Use Dendro first and then Pyro to deal lasting fire damage

Shock Damage – Use electro then Hydro to cause deal lasting shock damage

Crystallize – Use Gero then Cryo, Pyro, or Hydro to deal create elemental shards that help shield from damage

Frozen – Use Hydro then Cryo to freeze targets
