Flare Gun is a new weapon added to Fortnite BR Season 3 with update v.13.20. While far from a meta weapon, the Flare Gun is a unique weapon in the sense that it does burn DoT and can set structures on fire. If you want to get your hands on the new weapon, you’ve come to the right place. In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about finding the Flare Gun in Fortnite BR Season 3.
Fortnite Battle Royale Season 3 Flare Gun
When it comes to actually finding the gun, you can do so from a chest, Ilama, and supply drops. Irrespective of where you get the weapon, the chances of coming across one are incredibly low. While there isn’t any harm in opening normal chests, you’ll have increased chances of getting one from Ilama, supply drops, and rare chests.
Once you’ve found one, you’ll only have 6 shots so try to make every shot count. There isn’t any way of finding additional ammo so you’ll only have 6 shots per Flare Gun. Each shot from the Flare Gun will deal 60 damage but the real deal is the burn DoT that it does. As for the weapon’s reloading speed, it takes around 1.5 seconds to reload between rounds.
As mentioned earlier, the weapon is far from being meta. You can use it for the sake of it being new and fun to use but it isn’t something you must have in order to win a match. This is due to the fact that the flares from the Flare Gun travel incredibly slow (in an arc) and are easy to dodge.
