Final Fantasy 7 Remake can get pretty easy for some people and with that in mind, you might want to turn up the difficulty setting. In this Final Fantasy 7 Remake guide, we are going to go over which difficulty setting you should pick.
What Difficulty Setting You Should Pick In Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Note that some of the encounters can be tricky. There are optional boss fights in the game that are hard but they can be skipped entirely. Also, you can prepare for these boss fights as well. The main bosses that you need to beat in order to progress are not too complicated. There are three difficulty settings in Final Fantasy 7 Remake:
- Normal
- Easy
- Classic
The normal difficulty provides a challenge to the players. Easy is for people that want to enjoy the story of the game. If you pick the classic settings then you will focus on the Active Time Battle elements and the game will automatically move and use basic attacks on enemies for you.
We recommend avoiding the classic difficulty. It will cut off half of the combat that is available in the game. It will also give you less control over your character. Secondly, the AI is going to control who you attack and the direction in which you move in. Lastly, while the AI is going to use basic attacks, you still need to trigger special abilities.
The easy difficulty might seem a bit too easy for some players. You will not need to use a potion until the first boss fight.
When it comes to the normal difficulty setting, you will need to block and dodge in order to avoid getting damaged. You will need to use proper tactics such as stagger in order to win against enemies. Enemies will do more damage and you will need to use several potions as well.
Note that there is a hard mode but you will need to complete the game before you can access it. In order to get the best experience, we recommend playing the game with the normal difficulty setting.
