Genshin Impact 2.0 not only brings players to Inazuma but also adds the new Epitomized Path mechanic to the weapons banner. This makes it a bit easier for players to get the 5-star weapon that they are wishing towards. In this Genshin Impact guide, we are going to go over how you can get Fate Points for the weapons banner Epitomized Path mechanic.
Getting Weapons Banner Epitomized Path Fate Points In Genshin Impact 2.0
Before wishing on the banner you can select the 5-star weapon that you want to get. Once you start wishing, you will get a Fate Point each time you do not get the weapon that you selected.
For example, if you want Mistsplitter for Ayaka and you select it in the Epitomized Path then you will get Fate Points each time you pull a 5-star weapon that is not the Mistsplitter. Getting a 5-star depends on luck. You might get a 5-star on 10 pulls or 50. You are guaranteed to get at least one 5-star weapon for every 80 wishes on the weapons banner.
So you get one 5 star weapon for 80 pulls and then another one at 160 pulls. At this point, you will have 2 Fate Points provided that the two 5-star weapons that you got were not the Mistsplitter. Once you have 2 Fate Points, the next 5-star weapon that you are going to get is guaranteed to be one that you selected at the beginning, the Mistsplitter in our example.
Worst case scenario, you do another 80 wishes and get the weapon that you want. So in short, what this new mechanic means is that you will get the weapon that you selected for sure once you have done 240 pulls. Again, this depends on luck and you might get it sooner.
I should also point out that if you get the weapon that you select sooner then your Fate Points will go back to 0. For example, if you pull 80 times and get Promodial Jade, which will give you a Fate Point and after that, you get a Mistsplitter, then you will have got the weapon that you selected and your Fate Points will go back to 0. Meaning that you will have your guaranteed selected weapon at another 240 pulls.
