While not necessary, the ability to instantly move from one place to another in Mortal Shell can come in pretty handy. It isn’t something you can do from the very start and will need to unlock it first. In this Mortal Shell guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about how to unlock fast travel.
How to Unlock Fast Travel in Mortal Shell?
The ability to fast travel can be pretty helpful when it comes to traveling between different areas to farm Glimpse or XP. Similar to how Dark Souls only allowed players to fast travel from one bonfire to another, Mortal Shell does it with Sester Genessa.
In case you didn’t know, Sester Genessa can be found in multiple locations throughout the game’s world. After unlocking the option to fast travel, you should be able to instantly travel to different Sester Genessa locations, provided you’ve been there before. But how does one unlock the ability to do so?
It involves Sester Genessa again. There are a total of 4 shells in Mortal Shell and you need to fully upgrade at least one of them in order to unlock the option to fast travel. Doing so will require a lot of Glimpse and Tar so get to farming if you’re running short on them. Once you’ve fully upgraded a shell of your choice, you’ll need to head over to Fallgrim Tower and purchase an item called the Ornate Mask.
It’s through the Ornate Mask that you’ll be able to travel from one Sester Genessa location to another instantly. As mentioned earlier, fast traveling serves little purpose in MS but is still very handy if you’re into farming different materials or attaining 100% completion status.
