In Enshrouded, the Grappling Hook is an essential tool for navigation and exploration. This guide will walk you through the process of crafting and effectively utilizing the Grappling Hook in the game.
Enshrouded Grappling Hook
To craft the Grappling Hook you will need to farm 4x Metal Scraps, 7x String, and 10x Shroud Spores. Here is how you can farm these:
- Metal Scraps: These can be found by breaking objects in ruins around the map i.e. scavenger-type enemies or containers.
- String: Obtainable by collecting Plant Fiber from bushes.
- Shroud Spores: Gather these by venturing into the Shroud and defeating enemies.
Once you have all the materials, use a workbench to craft the Grappling Hook. Workbenches are crafted with String and Wood Logs.
Using the Grappling Hook
After crafting, open your inventory, right-click on the Grappling Hook, and choose ‘equip’ to use it. Look out for prompts indicating places where the Grappling Hook can be used. The Grappling Hook can bring you directly to your destination or require you to swing and jump to reach certain areas.
Grappling Hook Attachments
To add attachments, you first need to rescue the Blacksmith NPC. You’ll need a Charcoal Kiln, a Forge, and a Smelter. These require rescuing the Carpenter for the Kiln. With Metal Sheets and Copper Bars, you can create either a Grappling Hook Pull Anchor or a Grappling Hook Swing Anchor at your base. The Improved Grappling Hook reduces stamina cost and has a longer activation range.
Shroud Core, Shroud Liquid, Shroud Spores, and the original Grappling Hook. The Shroud Core can be obtained from minibosses in the Shroud. Collect all ingredients and craft the Improved Grappling Hook at the Carpenter’s crafting interface.
