Elden Ring Rune Farming Guide: How to Get Runes Fast

If you want to progress fast in Elden Ring you need to get as many runes as you can. You’ll need them to purchased cookbooks and other useful items. There are multiple ways to get your hands on runes and in this guide, we will discuss everything you need to know about runes farming in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring Runes Farming

Go after the Golden Runes that are scattered all over the open world. These are consumable items that you can use and when they are consumed you’ll have some runes in your coin bag. You can store the Golden Runes any time you want so make sure to store them for a time when you really need the money.

Hunt in the Night

Doing the night, players can get additional runes for killing enemies. Go out at night and kill as many enemies as you can to get extra runes for your efforts. But keep in mind that they are tougher during the night so that can become a problem if you are low-level and don’t have a good weapon.

Farm the Church of the Plague

Head over to the Church of the Plague Site of Grace and use the Flask of Wondrous Physick. Find and kill the enemies outside and head back to the Side of Grace. Rest at the site to pass the time and repeat the process.

Break Those Skulls

In the open world, you will find many glowing skulls and these are some of the best ways of farming runes fast in Elden Ring. Break these skulls to get a certain amount of runes every time.

Find the Trolls

There are two trolls tied to a carriage near the Waypoint Ruins Cellar. They are hard to beat but if you manage to take them down you can earn a handsome 1000 runes in Elden Ring. Since they are tied, you can use ranged attacks to great effect. Even melee builds can go in and out with shots and make use of their limited mobility.

Hunt the Golden Eyes

Among the different types of enemies, there are ones with Golden Eyes. These enemies are tough but they drop 4x more runes compared to other enemies in the open world.
