Elden Ring: How to Perform Ritual of Dragon Communion?

Share

The world of Elden Ring is enormous with secrets hiding in almost all corners. One location that the player gets to explore fairly early in the game is known as The Church of Dragon Communion in the Limgrave. In this Elden Ring guide, we have detailed all there is to know about the Ritual of Dragon Communion.

Elden Ring Ritual of Dragon Communion

The Church of Dragon Communion, nestled in Limgrave, is accessible only through the Coastal Cave. On your journey, you will encounter a host of enemies, resulting in a challenging battle against the Demi-Human Chiefs. Once defeated, you will be able to enter the area.

Upon entering the Church, your primary goal is to use the Dragon Hearts. These are needed for the Ritual of Dragon Communion. You will need to present these Dragon Hearts at the altar to unlock powerful Dragon-based Incantations. Also, do not forget to activate the nearby Site of Grace for easy return trips.

Dragon-based Incantations are a unique set of spells revolving around Draconic Powers, primarily breath attacks. They require both Faith and Arcane to cast. There are 14 of these Incantations available, each requiring the use of Dragon Hearts as currency.

To cast these Incantations, you must have a Sacred Seal equipped. The amount of Dragon Hearts needed varies from one to three, depending on the Incantation. Enhancing these Incantations is possible with the Dragon Communion Seal, which significantly boosts their effectiveness. As of patch 1.09, the Roar Medallion also raises the damage of various breath-based Incantations.

Lastly, inside the Church of Dragon Communion, you will find a variety of useful items:

  • Look for Herba, Mushroom, Rowa Fruit, and Exalted Flesh.
  • Somber Smithing Stone (1) and Smithing Stone (2) can be found here.
  • The area is also home to creatures like Guillemot, Spirit Jellyfish, Sheep, Springhare, and Turtle, each offering different materials upon defeat.

This is all we have got in how the Ritual of Dragon Communion works in Elden Ring. Feel free to check out our detailed Elden Ring wiki page for more helpful tips and tricks.
