Eastward is one of the new retro-style 2D games that you can play right now. If you are new to the genre then you might have some trouble figuring things out. In this Eastward guide, we are going to give you some tips and tricks that are going to make the game easier.
Eastward Tips And Tricks
The following are some of the tips and tricks that you should keep in mind when playing Eastward:
Check Your Map From Time To Time
When you pause the game, there are a couple of different tabs that you can access. These let you change your gear, view your journal and check out the map. The map fills in as you explore and can be very useful. The map is going to tell you where you have already been which is going to come in handy if you are lost or do not know where to go.
You Can Save The Game Using The Refrigerator
You will find refrigerators before you head into dungeons or boss arenas. You can use these to save the game. The game does have an auto-save feature but if you are near a refrigerator and are planning to end your session for the day then it is best to save manually.
Buy The Treasure Radar
There is a shop near the top of the hill above your place in Potcrock Isle called Johnny’s Emporium. This is where you can buy the Treasure Radar. It is going to cost you 50 Salt. This should be the first thing that you buy using the in-game currency as this is going to help you find treasure chests.
As you get close to one the radar is going to start beeping. The noise is going to increase and become more consistent as you get closer and closer to t a treasure chest.
How To Heal?
On your journey, you will encounter enemies. Killing them will drop hearts that you can pick up in order to heal yourself. Enemies can also drop ingredients that you can use to make food. When you are at your house or one of the many stoves in the game, use the ingredients to make food which you can then carry in your backpack.
Target Boss Weaknesses
As you progress the game, you will encounter many bosses. They might seem OP but they have weak points that you can target. The first boss for example likes to suck you in. You can drop a bomb so that the boss inhales it. Note patterns in order to find weaknesses.
