Breath of the Wild was and is a great game but unlike other Zelda titles in the franchise, the dungeons were missing from the game. Dungeons are going to be back in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Here is what you need to know.
Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Will Have Dungeons
Dungeons have been a vital part of Zelda games but they were not a part of Breath of the Wild. Nintendo put their twist on things and replaced the lengthy dungeons with shrines and an open world. Nintendo’s Hidemaro Fujibayashi has confirmed that the traditional huge dungeons are going to be back in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. So if you missed those in the previous game then you will surely enjoy them when Zelda: TotK comes out soon.
Takizawa mentioned that the developers have been working on creating a variety of dungeons that have their own regional look and feel. These dungeons are going to be huge just like the older Zelda games. He mentioned that these were a challenge to develop but they are also going to be challenging for the players as well.
Takuhiro Dohta teased one of the dungeons and described one as:
that connects directly from Hyrule’s surface. If you dive from the sky straight into the dungeon, you’ll trigger an event. We think this will be a new experience that wasn’t possible in the previous game.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom releases on 12 May, so it is around the corner and players will be able to experience the new dungeons that Nintendo has been working on.
Let us know what you think about dungeons coming back in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and whether or not you are excited about playing the game.
