Drug Dealer Simulator Crash, No Audio, And Fixes
As the title of the game suggests, Drug Dealer Simulator is a unique and interesting game. However, the Drug Dealer Simulator PC players have reported errors like Fatal error, 8876017c, stuttering and more. The following are the errors and issues that players are experiencing along with their fixes and workarounds.
Fatal Error
There are a couple of reasons why Fatal Error pops up. According to Drug Dealer Simulator players, they either face it while launching the game or the game randomly crashes with Fatal Error popping up.
One reason for the Fatal error to pop up is the GPU. There is a possibility that the game is putting too much load on your GPU or the GPU itself is overclocked. There are two ways to fix this if the GPU load is the problem. You can either limit the max FPS for the game or revert the GPU back to its stock clocks if it’s overcooked.
To limit the max FPS, open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > select the game from the drop-down menu. Scroll through the options and look for “Max FPS Limit”. Enable it and adjust the value. While I would suggest locking the game at 30 FPS but, you can do a bit of trial and error to see at what value the game isn’t crashing with Fatal Error. This will reduce the GPU load and Drug Dealer Simulator will stop crashing.
If the GPU isn’t the issue then your Windows 7 OS might not be updated. Download and install this update and the issue will be resolved. If the Fatal Error is still persisting then installing the update KB3080149 will fix the error.
If you are facing this error on an AMD GPU then follow the steps below to fix the Drug Dealer Simulator Fatal Error.
- Download AMD driver 19.12.1, don’t worry you don’t have to install it.
- Run the installer and let it unpack. After that, close the installer.
- Go to “C:/AMD/Win10-Radeon-Software-Adrenalin-2019-Edition-19.12.1-Dec2/Packages/Drivers/Display/WT6A_INF/B349181”.
- Copy “atidxx64.dll” > open Steam > right-click on the game > Manage > Browse local files.
- Now go to “DrugDealerSimulator\Binaries\Win64” and paste the “atidxx64.dll” here. Launch the game and it won’t crash.
Error 8876017c Fix
According to players, they are facing UE4 fatal error with error code 8876017c. Most probably, you are playing the game on a laptop. The error is probably bothering you because the game isn’t using the dedicated GPU instead it’s running on integrated GPU. Make sure the game runs on the dedicated GPU.
Type “Device Manager” in the search bar and open it. Under “Display adapters” there will be two options. Right-click on the integrated GPU and disable it. Now your system will only use dedicated GPU and the game won’t crash with Error 8876017c.
No Audio Fix
Some players are reporting that while the game is running, the game’s audio isn’t working at all. One fix would be to run the troubleshooter. Right-click on the speaker icon at the bottom left of the desktop, select “Troubleshoot Sound Problems”. Once the troubleshooting is complete the issue will be resolved.
If the Drug Dealer Simulator’s audio is still not working then Window Sonic For Headphones might be the issue. Open Settings > System > Sound > click on “Sound Control Panel”. A new window will open, select your active audio device > properties > Spatial Sound tab. Fro the menu, select “off”. Apply the change, launch the game and you’ll start hearing the game’s audio.
Performance, Stuttering Fix
PC video games often face performance issues and Drug Dealer Simulator is no exception. Players are reporting the game is stuttering and random FPS drops. Here is how to boost FPS and fix stuttering.
First, make sure you have installed the latest GPU drivers and there is no background process that is using too much of your HDD, CPU, or GPU.
open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > select the game from the drop-down menu. Make the following changes.
Set Vertical Sync to “On”
Set “Power Management Mode” to “Prefer Maximum Performance”
set “Texture Filtering- Quality” to “High Performance”
Start the game and disabled in-game v.sync. Now, the stuttering should be fixed. However, if the game is still stuttering then follow the steps mentioned above by set Vertical Sync to “Fast”.
