How to Get Packed Explosives in Dredge
Head to Gale Cliffs Ruins, where you’ll encounter the Hermit. He will inform you about the obstructing boulders and suggest using explosives to clear a path to the next relic. He will then direct you to Ingfell, where his brother once crafted explosives.
At Ingfell, speak with the Retired Whaler. However, before he can provide you with explosives, you must first retrieve their Family Crest.
Now go to grid O3, where a dredging site conceals the Family Crest beneath the water’s surface. Exercise caution while navigating this area, as a formidable, hostile fish will attack on sight.
To safely dredge without being assaulted, use your Haste ability to lure the fish away. After creating sufficient distance, quickly return to the dredging site. Prior to engaging the fish, survey the surrounding rock formations to avoid trapping yourself. If your hull sustains damage after obtaining the crest, you risk losing it and having to restart from your last save point.
Once you secure the crest, deliver it to the Retired Whaler, who will then request your assistance in detonating a pre-set explosive near one of the channels.
Navigate to grid O3 and locate the boulders marked with yellow flags. Interact with the boulders to ignite the explosives, clearing the area. Report your success to the Retired Whaler.
Return to the Hermit’s dwelling and escort him to Ingfell. Ensure your boat has sufficient space to accommodate him and avoid taking hull damage, as it may result in the Hermit’s demise.
Upon safely delivering the Hermit to Ingfell, the Retired Whaler will express his gratitude by gifting you a Packed Explosive. Additional explosives can be procured at the Whaling Yards.
