With Kakarot, Dragon Ball Z has taken a slight shift toward the RPG-centric style of games. During the course of your journey, you’ll be required to level up Goku and his allies. One of the things paramount to increasing your character’s power in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is gifts.
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Gifts
Gifts in DBZ: Kakarot are needed to enhance your characters, providing them with increased stats such as increased ATK, etc. But how does all of it work? The answer to this is Soul Emblem.
You earn Soul Emblems by almost everything in the game e.g. completing missions, sub-stories, side missions, etc. After you’ve found some, you can place them on Community Boards to reap their benefits. Gifts, on the other hand, allow you to increase the level of Soul Emblems. Here’s a quick rundown of using gifts in Kakarot:
Main Menu > Community > Soul Emblems
In the Soul Emblems menu, you’ll see a complete list of Soul Emblems that you’ve unlocked. At this point, simply select the one that you want and use the gift option to increase its level. Before you can do that, however, you’ll need to have some gifts in your inventory.
How to Earn Gifts
As mentioned earlier, earning gifts in DBZ is simple as it can get. A few quick ways of earning them include winning battles during the main story.
However, easily the quickest way of earning them fast is to complete sub-stories and side missions. You’ll continue to find a whole lot of them as you progress through the game so make sure to keep an eye on them.
