Items in DOTA Underlords have the tendency to shape the outcome of a battle when utilizing correctly. In our DOTA Underlords Items Guide, we have outlined the all Item Tiers in DOTA Underlords, their effects, recommended Heroes that can take advantage of these items, and some of the best items that you should definitely consider in battles.
DOTA Underlords Items
If you’re new to Auto Chess, you’ll come across 3 Creep Waves that, upon being killed, will not give you XP and access to some Tier 1 items. Choose the one that you prefer and you’ll eventually face off other human players with the Creep Waves coming out at regular intervals. Continue to defeat these Creep Waves in order to gain access to higher-tiered items.
Another important thing to note about items in the game is that some items are marked as “Global Items”. You don’t need to equip Global Items to a specific Hero, as their effects are applied globally – in and out of battle. With that out of the way, let’s talk about different items in DOTA Underlords.
Tier 1 Items

|A Higher Class of Criminal||You gain access to units in shop who are +1 level higher than you are.||All Heroes|

|Dragon’s Hoard||For every Gold you have at the start of combat, your Dragon units gain +1% Attack Damage.||Viper, Puck, Dragon Knight|

|Bloodthorn||You can Silence an enemy Hero with more than 75% mana for 5 seconds and critically strike them for 140% damage. This has a cooldown of 10 seconds. |Desperate Measures||Every 5 points of damage your Underlord takes, your units gain +1% Attack Damage.||All Heroes|

Best Items in DOTA Underlords
The following are some of the best items that you can use in DOTA Underlords. Do note that everyone’s experience of the game differs and what works for me may not work for you. Still, these items are fairly strong in a variety of compositions and can easily turn the tides in a match.
- Expanded Roster: You gain +1 unit cap.
- Blade Mail: You deal 30% damage taken back to the attacker.
- Vanguard: You receive +250 Health and 50% chance to block +70 damage when attacked.
- Daedalus: You receive +80 Attack Damage and 30% Critical Hit chance for 235% damage.
- Skull Basher: You gain +25 Attack Damage and 25% chance to stun enemies for 1.5 seconds.
- Heart of Tarrasque: You receive +1,000 Health and regenerate +2% of Max Health every 1 second.
- Dagon: You deal +800 damage to a random enemy unit sitting at 50% or less Health. This can only happen once during a battle.
- Assault Cuirass: Your equipped Hero and nearby allies gain +15 Attack Speed, +10 Armor and nearby enemies receive -15 Attack Speed, -10 Armor.
