Chameleon is the new exotic assault rifle that has been introduced in episode 3 of The Division 2. Getting exotics in the game can be tricky. In this Division 2 guide, we are going to walk you through how you can get Chameleon in the game.
How To Get Chameleon Exotic Assualt Rifle In The Division 2
Before we talk about how you can get this weapon, let us look at the talents of the gun and why it is good. The following are the talents of Chameleon that you need to know about:
Hitting 30 headshots grants +20% critical hit chance and +50% critical hit damage for 45 seconds.
Hitting 60 body shots grants +100% weapon damage for 60 seconds
Hitting 30 leg shots grants +150% reload speed for 45 seconds
While holstered, gain +5% weapon handling.
You can now get targetted loot in The Division 2. This means that the type of weapon that you are looking for is marked on the map. In order to get Chameleon, you need to do missions that are marked “Increase Loot Allocation Assualt Rifle”. At the time of writing, you could get the weapon from Camp White Oak but the location can change every week.
This is a random drop in the open world right now so it can drop from any enemy. Boss enemies do have a higher chance of dropping higher tier weapons but I got Nemesis twice from normal enemies. You will have to repeat missions until the gun drops. If you are doing Camp White Oak then there are two bosses that you can fight. Players have reported getting Chameleon from the first boss as well as the second so you can give both of them a shot.
That is everything that you need to know about getting Chameleon in The Division 2.
