There are plenty of new features in Diablo 4. One incredibly useful feature that has been added to the game is mounts. These are rideable creatures that you can use to quickly travel across the world. Aside from this, there are various Dismount Skills that utilize mounts. In this guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about mounts in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Mounts

First, let’s discuss unlocking mounts. It’s very simple. You just need to progress through the campaign until you complete a mission named: Donan’s Favor. You will get it somewhere in Act-2. This is the mission that will familiarize you with acquiring mounts, riding these creatures, etc.

After you have completed the mission, you will need to acquire mounts. There are a few different ways to get these creatures. Some of these include rewards from completing missions, buying from merchants, loot drops, or pre-purchasing various editions of Diablo 4. Aside from acquiring various types of mounts, the game also lets you customize these mounts to your preference.

Customizing Mounts

Similar to unlocking, customizing mounts is a relatively simple affair. To begin, you will need to find a Stable Master. These can be found in almost every Settlement in the world. One of the first Stable Masters named Oskar you will come across is in Kyovashad. This is where you will be able to work with different customization options.

List of Available Mounts

There are quite a few mounts that you can get in Diablo 4. Some of these that we know about so far:

Temptation Mount
You need to purchase the Digital Deluxe or Ultimate to get the Temptation Mount.

Light Bearer Mount
Pre-purchasing any edition of Diablo 4 will net you the Light Bearer Mount.

Using Mounts in Beta

As mentioned earlier, players are introduced to mounts somewhere in Act-2. Since the Diablo 4 beta does not let you explore the campaign past Act-1, it is impossible to access the mounts. This will not change in the Closed Beta as well!
