Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Leveling Guide: How To Level Up To 900 Fast

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Leveling

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is out now and all the players start off at level 750. 900 is the new soft cap and there are some ways of getting to that soft cap without wasting any time. In this Destiny 2 Shadowkeep leveling guide, we are going to walk you through how you can level up to 900 as fast as possible. This is what you need to know.

How To Hit The 900 Power Level Soft Cap In Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Quickly

The following are some of the ways in which you can level up fast in the new expansion:

Spam Those Tokens
There are a couple of ways in which you can do this. You could go to the tower and spam tokens that you have lying around. Each item you get will get you closer to the level cap but you will need thousands of tokens to hit the 900 power level cap. This is not an ideal way to go but it can be done for the initial few levels. You should not try to use this method in order to get to 900 unless you have thousands of tokens lying around and you do not want to waste any time at all.

The leviathan raid vendor does not have many weapons to offer and the chances of getting a piece of armor are high. If you need a piece of armor then this is where you should use your leviathan tokens. On the other hand, if you need heavy weapons then you should head over to the gunsmith. It is possible that you have higher-level armor but your weapons are lagging behind. You can submit tokens to the gunsmith at the tower in order to catch up.

If you are interested in leveling up all of your characters then you should not use up all of your tokens on the first character. You can transfer the gear to your other characters and spam tokens to level up even faster.

Only Do Werner Bounties
Bounties are locked at 750 and will only give you 750 level gear. That is not what you want if you are interested in leveling up fast. In the case of Werner, you need to go to chests and open them up so you can do these bounties in order to level up as fast as possible and we encourage you to give them a shot. Do not neglect these bounties if you are interested in making the most of your time and leveling up as fast as possible.

Play The Campaign
Once you have used this method to get to around level 800 then you should head on to the moon and do the campaign. Level 800 is ideal but this is not a hard and fast rule. If you are low on tokens then you can start the campaign at level 700. Random world drops will increase your power level. While on the moon, you can open up regional chests which will drop items. These will help you level up as well.

You do not have to rely on random drops. There are quests that guarantee certain items. Essence quests will get you different armor pieces and gear when completed. These are guaranteed rewards that scale as you level up.

Old Activities Work Too
Doing strikes and nightfalls and all the other activities in the game will help you level up as well. We recommend doing a few of these activities so that when you get the powerful weapons at the end of the Shadowkeep campaign, they are max level rewards.

Leveling Up The Battle Pass
Leveling up the battle pass gets you rewards as well. You should use these rewards wisely. The first reward that you get on the premium track is the exotic weapon and whole armor set. We recommend that you do not get the armor on your first character unless you really need to. You can use it on your second character to level it up even faster. Claiming these rewards wisely will help you increase your power level much faster.

900+ Power Level
The only way you can get past the 900 power level soft cap in Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is by getting powerful gear. This means completing the Nightfall, the raid and other activities that drop powerful gear as rewards.
