There are three new Strand Aspects in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch — one per class. Some of these Aspects are a little overtuned with the potential to improve a number of Strand-based builds in Destiny 2. Also, unlike the base Strand Aspects, you do not need to grind out Strand Meditations to unlock these. In this guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about unlocking new Strand Aspects in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch.
Destiny 2: Season of the Witch Strand Aspects
In order to unlock new Strand Aspects in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch, you will need to speak to Nimbus in Neomuna. They will give you a quest called “Unveiled” which you will need to complete to earn these Strand Aspects.
Once you have picked up the quest, you will need to go to Veil Containment — this is a quest that you should be able to launch directly from the Neomuna in the bottom-left corner of the map.
After you reach the Veil Containment, you will need to go downstairs and interact with a console that says “Decrypt Archive” on the screen. This area is way before the section where you fight Calus during the campaign.
After the dialogue, head back to the Hall of Heroes and interact with the Pouka Pond to unlock new Strand Aspects. You will not even Strand Meditations to be able to do so.
Now that you know all about unlocking these new Strand Aspects, let us take a look at what they do:
Banner of War — Titans
When you melee (Swords count as well!) enemies, you create a banner that heals everyone nearby. If your teammates damage enemies, the effects get better.
Weavewalk — Warlocks
Depending on how many Melee Charges you have, you can go invisible and create Threadlings over time. While you are invisible, you get 90% DR.
Whirling Maelstrom — Hunters
If you destroy a Tangle, it turns into Strand fibers that damage nearby enemies.
