The new Altars of Summoning activity in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch revolves around using Offerings to set your own difficulty. The rewards you get from the activity also scale with chosen difficulty which is like an incentive for players who opt for the toughest challenge. However, it is very easy to run out of Offerings if you have been grinding a lot. Luckily, acquiring these Offerings is pretty simple. In this guide, we will go over all the different ways using which you can earn a lot of Offerings in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch.

Destiny 2: Season of the Witch Offerings

Offerings are special items for the Altars of Summoning activity. There are three types of these Offerings — from weakest to strongest:

  • Feeble
  • Robust
  • Powerful

Similar to Blind Well, these Offerings are needed to set the difficulty in the Altars of Summoning activity. For instance, using the Powerful one increases the difficulty to the max but also has better rewards.

  • Savathun’s Spire — including the Hidden Chests
  • Altars of Summoning
  • Vanguard Ops
  • Gambit
  • Crucible
  • Endgame Activities such as Raids, NFs, Dungeons

How to Use Offerings?

After you start the Altars of Summoning, you will head to one of three areas. While you are at the entrance of one of these areas, you will see four altars there. Each altar should have a number of swords at the top. These swords basically determine the type of Offering that you can present there.

  • 1x Sword — Feeble
  • 2x Swords — Robust
  • 3x Swords — Powerful

As mentioned earlier, presenting the Feeble Offering will make the encounter significantly easier but the rewards are not worth it. At the end of the day, it all comes down to what your fireteam feels comfortable with. Lastly, you should also try to equip one or more pieces of the Seasonal Armor if possible as it can significantly increase the amount of rewards you can get from the Altars of Summoning activity.

The Fourth Altar

As mentioned earlier, while exploring the Altars of Summoning, you might spot a fourth Altar. However, it does not work yet. We think that it is probably tied to an Exotic Offering for a secret Exotic Mission in the future. We will be sure to update the guide if any such thing happens. But as of right now, it does not serve any purpose.

This is everything we have on how to get Offerings in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch. For more help on the game, be sure to see our Destiny 2 wiki page.
