Destiny 2 Season of the Wish is just around the corner. You might be wondering how you can prepare for the new season and what you can expect from it once it goes live. I have gone over how you can prepare for the next season. In this guide, I cover everything that you need to know about Destiny 2 Season of the Wish.
What You Need To Know About Destiny 2 Season Of The Wish
Season Of The Wish Launch
Season of the Wish was originally planned to launch alongside the Final Shape expansion, but since that has been delayed it, we are getting the season sooner than planned. Season of the Wish will go live on November 28 with the weekly reset.
The Dawning annual holiday event is expected to launch around the middle of December. This will feature seasonal weapons, armor, and cosmetic items. The event is expected to end at the start of January. We will learn about the exact dates closer to the event launch.
New Fireteam Finder (LFG)
Destiny 2 launched without a fireteam finder, and it has been years since players have been asking for the feature to be integrated into the game rather than having to rely on third-party tools. Bungie is finally adding this feature with the release of Destiny 2 Season of the Wish.
New Dungeon Launch
With the release of Season of the Deep, players can expect to see new content, such as the new dungeon that launched on Friday, December 1st. The name of the dungeon remains to be unknown but we should be able to find out more in the upcoming days.
Players Can Access The Vault From The Orbit
Players no longer need to head over to different destinations to be able to access the vault. They will be able to access it from Orbit.
Sparrow Speed Balancing
Always On Time has been the go-to sparrow for people looking to go fast. That is going to change with the release of the new season as Bungie is reworking sparrow speeds and putting them on par with one another. If you do not already have Always On Time, then you might not want to get it after all.
Legendary Shards Reworked
The currencies are changing in Destiny 2. In Season of the Wish, Legendary Shards are not going to be as useful, and moving on to The Final Shape, Legendary Shards are going to be removed entirely. So you should use this currency before the launch of Season of the Wish to make the most of it. You can visit Master Rahool at the tower to exchange the Legendary Shards that you have for Enhancement Cores and Prism.
Foundry Weapon Focusing
Banshee will have foundry weapon focusing which will allow players to get world drop pools from the shop rather than Prime Engrams. Lost sectors will drop foundry weapons in rotation for four days. The master difficulty has a guaranteed drop.
Increased Ritual Engram Drop Rate
Season of the Wish will have increased Ritual Engram drops from activities that you complete.
Stasis is going to be important in Season of the Wish, and you can expect the seasonal artifact to have Stasis mods. There will be a seasonal patch that will provide more information regarding Stasis changes.
Thorn Catalyst And Osteo Striga Nerf
Base Thorn will overflow itself with 40 ammo after picking up Remnants. It is also getting a Catalyst. On the flip side, Osteo Striga is getting a nerf. The poison damage multiplier will be reduced.
Vex Mythoclast And Revision Zero Buff
Revision Zero will do increased damage against Champions by 100%. Vex Mythoclas also gets a buff. It does 10% more damage against minor enemies, 25% against bosses, and 200% against Champions while in the LFR mode.
Necrocosm, Dead Man’s Tale, And Colony Buffs
Necrocosm, Dead Man’s Tale, and Colony are getting buffs as part of the mid-season patch.
Dragon’s Breath Returns
Dragon’s Breath is coming to Destiny 2, completely reworked with new perks as the seasonal exotic.
Auto Rifle, Sniper, And Glaive Buffs
Legendary Auto Rifles will do increased damage against minor enemies by 10%. Snipers will do increased damage against all enemies by 10%, and Glaives will do 25% increased projectile damage in PvE.
PvP Playlist Updates
The PvP playlist is getting updated. Control mode will be updated along with Checkmate being the primary game mode. There are more updates to PvP as well.
Additional Minor Changes
Kinetic Tremors, Danger Zone, and Precision Instrument are getting buffed.
