Ager’s Scepter is a Stasis-based exotic Trace Rifle. This exotic weapon is the reason why we have been collecting Atlas Skew these past weeks. In this guide, we have detailed all there is to know about completing the exotic quest for Ager’s Scepter, Stasis-based exotic Trace Rifle in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 Ager’s Scepter Exotic Quest
Ager’s Scepter works exactly like any other Trace Rifle in the game. However, it does allow the player to freeze nearby enemies and works well with certain Aspects/Fragments in the game. Below, we have provided an overview of all the steps needed to unlock Ager’s Scepter:
Finding 5 Atlas Skew
The first step is to collect 5 Atlas Skew scattered around The Confluence in The Dreaming City. However, do note that this step can be completed only if the player collected all the Atlas Skew for the previous three weeks. Be sure to check out our detailed Week 4 Atlas Skew Locations guide for more info. on where to find them.
Collecting Parallax Trajectory and Defeating Enemies
For this step, the player is required to defeat enemies in Astral Alignment with a rifle – it can be an Auto Rifle, Pulse Rifle, Trace Rifle, Fusion Rifle. We highly recommend using Vex Mythoclast or any Auto Rifle with Overflow. In addition to this, the player is also required to gather 100 Parallax Trajectory. It can drop from literally anywhere in the game and collecting 100 should not take more than 10 minutes.
Defeating Champions and Super Final Blows
This step requires the player to get around 20 kills with the Super and defeating 18 Champions in Astral Alignment activity. Remember that just damaging a Champion progresses the count. As for the Super, things like Stormcaller, Hammers, Arcstaff, etc. are really good.
Strands of Nobility
For this step, the player is required to complete three Strikes – The Lake of Shadows, The Glassway, The Disgraced. At the end of each Strike, the player will be rewarded with a Strand of Nobility.
Collecting the Ager’s Scepter
For the final step, the player is required to start the ‘A Hollow Coronation’ quest from the H.E.L.M. via the Director and picking up the Trace Rifle. Once picked up, destroy the wall behind it to defeat a whole lot of enemies including a Hive Knight. Once all the enemies have been defeated, speak to Queen Mara for a short cut-scene.
Ager’s Scepter Catalyst
The weapon also has an Exotic Catalyst that can only drop from opening up the Wayfinder’s Troves at the end of the Astral Alignment activity. Once the activity goes away, it will drop from Nightfalls. However, do note that it is currently not dropping and will start from the weekly reset on 23-09-2021.
