Season of the Haunted has seen some drastic changes made to Iron Banner. The removal of Power Level advantage, bringing back the Rift, Lord Saladin having a Reputation System like Trials of Osiris, etc. are all welcome changes. The very first Iron Banner of Season of the Haunted is here and it comes with a brand new quest to complete. The questline is called Forging Iron and is a huge improvement over previous questlines. On top of that, it needs to be completed once per account which is such a neat change. In this Destiny 2 guide, we have detailed all there is to know about completing the Forging Iron questline in Season of the Haunted.
Destiny 2 Forging Iron Quest
Below, we have provided all the steps needed to complete the Forging Iron quest in Destiny 2:
Step #1
To begin, just complete an Iron Banner match. It can be done via the Crucible tab in the Director. While playing solo, we recommend the Freelance Playlist as it is more bearable.
Step #2
Lord Saladin will have a new Daily Challenge for the 4 days following the reset – until Friday. The player simply needs to grab one and complete it. Also, do note that it is possible to grab all the Daily Challenges on Friday and complete them in a single go.
Step #3
This one requires the player to accumulate IB points. We recommend trying to win matches, maintaining win streaks, wearing IB gear, using IB weapons, etc. to rack up these points easily.
Step #4
This one is another simple step. All that the player needs to do is to grab an Iron Banner engram from Lord Saladin at The Tower. Also, do note that it can be focused for 100 Legendary Shards – just like Saint XIV.
Step #5
This step requires the player to wear Iron Banner armor pieces – at least one is needed but the more, the better. Wearing 4 Iron Banner armor pieces (with an Exotic) and winning matches will complete this step rather quickly.
Step #6
Once all the previous steps are done, the player needs to return to Lord Saladin at The Tower to complete the Forging Iron questline in Season of the Haunted. Completing the quest will reward the player with Iron Lapis shader and Iron Core emblem.
