Destiny 2 Redrix’s Broadsword Guide – Complete in Season of the Arrivals, Forging the Broadsword

Destiny 2 Redrix’s Broadsword Guide

Redrix’s Broadsword is one of the lengthiest questlines in Destiny 2. With high-impact frame Pulse Rifles being buffed in Season of the Arrivals, we expect Redrix’s Broadsword to make a resurgence both in PvE and PvP. In this Destiny 2 guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about how to unlock Redrix’s Broadsword in the game.

Destiny 2 Redrix’s Broadsword

The curated version of Redrix’s Broadsword has Outlaw and Desperado. Outlaw simply increases Broadsword’s reload speed after getting a precision kill. Desperado, on the other hand, increases the weapon’s rate of fire if you reload while Outlaw is active. On top of it, this Kinetic Pulse Rifle is incredibly stable and is a very good ad-clearing option.

I should also mention that after completing the quest for Redrix’s Broadsword once, it gets added to Shaxx’s loot pool and you can acquire it with random rolls if you want. With that said, this is how you can acquire Redrix’s Broadsword in Season of the Arrivals:

Orientation

To complete this step, you need to score 200 kills with Pulse Rifles in any Crucible playlist – it can be Quickplay or Competitive. I recommend running something like Graviton Lance, Premonition, Masterworked Vigilance Wing, etc. to get this done. If you do it in a week when Momentum Control is live, you will probably get done with it in just a few games.

The Shape of Things to Come

For the 2nd step, you need to reach Valor rank “Heroic”. How quickly you reach “Heroic” solely depends on your skill. Do note that win streaks provide you with increased Valor. If you think you are not good enough, try to play with a pre-made fireteam.

The Candidate

This step requires you to get a total of 75 double kills medals. Do note that assists do not count toward progression. You must get both the kills by yourself. I recommend camping Heavy Ammo or run Shotguns – both of them work really well.

Dead is Dead

To complete this step, you are required to score 150 Precision Kills with any Pulse Rifle. Once again, it depends on your skill level but you can do it in Momentum Control to make it go by a little faster. As for recommended weapons, Graviton Lance, Premonition, and Outbreak Perfected are probably your best bets.

Further Instructions

This one requires you to score 50 kills with Arc, Solar, and Void each – 150 kills in total. Do note that energy weapons as well as Supers and abilities work really well.

This Place is Death

You just need to complete 25 matches in Rumble, Quickplay, Competitive playlists. You do not have to win them at all. Just complete them and you will be done with the quest step.

The Constant

This step is something you should have been working on since the beginning. Try to grab a few bounties each day and complete them as you work on other things. You need to a total of 20 Daily Crucible Bounties in order to complete this step. Remember that Repeatable Bounties and Weekly Bounties do not work toward the progression.

The Beginning of the End

This one requires you to reset your Valor rank a total of 5 times in a single season. You can reset it after reaching 2,000 Valor points. While it may appear like a lot on paper, it really is not with a pre-made fireteam.

The End

After managing to reset your Valor rank 5 times in a single season, return to Lord Shaxx in the Tower and claim your Redrix’s Broadsword.
