In D2’s Season of Dawn, the Vanguard Ritual Weapon is a sidearm named Buzzard. Similar to Python Shotgun and Komodo-4FR, it can roll with a few random rolls including Outlaw, Fourth Time’s the Charm, Swashbuckler, and the new Osmosis. In our Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Season of Dawn Buzzard Ritual Weapon Guide, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about unlocking it.
Destiny 2 Season of Dawn Buzzard Ritual Weapon
To start the questline for Buzzard Ritual Weapon in D2 Shadowkeep, you need to head over to the Tower. Once there, head over to Commander Zavala and acquire the Anything that Moves questline. Similar to Komodo-4FR and Python, the weapon is fairly simple to acquire.
Here’s what you need to do in order to acquire Buzzard, the Vanguard Ritual Weapon:
- Fill the progress bar up to 100% by getting final blows with sidearms in Strikes.
- Get 50 airborne final blows using a sidearm.
- Score points in Strikes to fill the progress bar to 100%. (Ordeals grant the most progress)
How to Unlock Buzzard Quickly in Season of Dawn
While you can use any sidearm that you feel comfortable with, there’s the one you can get from Sundial which is incredibly good. If you’re at a good enough Power Level, you can farm Ordeals to get it done quickly.
There’s another way of doing so in about an hour or so. To do so, you need to launch The Arms Dealer Nightfall Ordeal at Legend difficulty and immediately turn around after you spawn in. After you head out, proceed toward the church where Devrim is located and continue to roam around the church killing Cabal and Fallen.
By doing this, you’ll complete the progress in about an hour or two depending on how quickly you can clear ads. If you’re a Warlock, I recommend using Dawnblade to get the airborne kills as quickly as possible.
Once you’re done, return to Zavala to claim your Buzzard Sidearm Ritual Weapon. As for the perks that it can have, they include:
Adaptive Frame | You can fire 300 rounds per minute at balanced stats. |
Extended Barrel | It provides increased range but at the cost of decreased handling speed and moderate recoil control. |
Alloy Magazine | Faster reload when the magazine is empty. |
Outlaw or Fourth Time’s the Charm | Outlaw increases the reload speed after every precision kill. Fourth Time’s the Charm returns two rounds to the magazine after rapidly landing precision kill. |
Osmosis or Swashbuckler | With Oasis, using your Grenade Ability changes the weapon’s damage type until you stow the weapon. Swashbuckler, on the other hand, increases damage after melee kills and kills with this weapon. |
