Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals increases the maximum available Power Level to 1060. With the new Prophecy dungeon and Grandmaster NFs being 1040 and 1100 respectively, you should probably try to level up quickly if you want to enjoy the season’s end-game activities. In this Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals guide, we have provided you with some leveling tips and tricks to help you level up fast.
Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals Level Up Fast
Before we talk about actual tips, let us talk about how leveling works in the season. Also, before we begin, do note that we are strictly talking about your base Power Level and not the one provided by the Seasonal Artifact.
The softcap in Season of Arrivals is 1050. What this means is that you can complete activities, quests, etc. that provide you with Tier 1 or Tier 2 Powerful Drops. With a little persistence and good RNG, you will soon find yourself sitting at 1050 with only Powerful Drops.
Only after reaching 1050 PL will you gain the most benefit from completing Pinnacle Activities such as Garden of Salvation, the new Prophecy dungeon, etc. Last season, Bungie was kind enough to increase the sources of Pinnacle Drops so it is a lot easier even if you have bad RNG with duplicate drops.
- Powerful Cap: 1050
- Pinnacle Cap: 1060
Earn All Powerful Drops
As mentioned earlier, it is a good idea to rely on your Powerful Drops until you are at 1050 or at least close enough. There are multiple sources of earning them in the game. The following is a complete list (unless I’m forgetting some) of all the Powerful Drops in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals:
- Weekly Challenges on the Tower (Vanguard, Banshee-44, Crucible, Gambit)
- Planetary Flashpoint
- Prime Engrams
- Nightmare Hunt Weekly Challenge
- Crucible Rotator Playlist Challenge
- Nightfall: The Ordeal Weekly Completions
- Lunar Recall on the Moon
- Trials of Osiris
- Contact PE on IO
- Pit of Heresy (Except the Final Encounter)
- Last Wish
- Prismatic Recaster
- Infamy, Valor, Glory Resets
As you can see, there are quite a lot of things that you can do in order to reach 1050 which is we suggest not completing the Pinnacle Activities right off the bat.
Rifleman Heroic Adventure Loot Cave – Tangled Shore Flashpoint Only
If the Tangled Shore is the active Flashpoint (this week), you can wait for the Rifleman Heroic Adventure to come into daily rotation and earn multiple Powerful Drops from it. To do so, you need to have an Izanagi’s Burden without the Catalyst (pull one out from Collections), any Heavy Grenade Launcher, and a Grenade that deals continuous damage like a Vortex or Pulse Grenade.
With these things in hand, start the Rifleman Heroic Adventure and reach the final area. Once you are there, kill the deceptions that spawn, Land a couple of 4x Honed Edge shots onto the real Rifleman, throw a grenade where he lands, and immediately kill yourself with the Heavy Grenade Launcher.
If done successfully, you should see a small amount of Glimmer earned on the right-hand side of the screen and will spawn right outside the boss arena with the loot from the previous session right in front of you. Keep on repeating the same thing over and over again until you are satisfied.
Once again, remember that you can only do so while the Tangled Shore is the active Flashpoint and the Heroic Rifleman Adventure is in rotation for 24 hours.
Vendor Drops
If you go to VendorEngrams website, it should show all the vendors who are dropping higher than your current equipment. If you have a lot of Planetary Materials or Faction Tokens available, I would definitely suggest using it.
Pinnacle Drops
After reaching 1050, all that remains is to do your Pinnacle Activities and try to reach 1060. As mentioned earlier, Bungie has increased the number of Pinnacle Drops during Season of the Worthy which are:
- Hawthorne’s Weekly Clan Engram
- Trials of Osiris Flawless Passage
- Pit of Heresy Final Encounter
- Garden of Salvation + Weekly Challenge
- Weekly 100K Nightfall
- Master Nightmare Hunts
- Iron Banner
- 3x Vanguard Strikes
- 4x Crucible Matches
- 3x Gambit or Gambit Prime Matches
We hope that these leveling tips helped you level up fast in Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals. For more help on the game, you can check out our detailed Destiny 2 wiki guides.
