Rufus’s Fury is a Strand-based Auto Rifle from Root of Nightmares raid in Destiny 2. And while Auto Rifles are in a bad state right now, some upcoming buffs should be more than enough to put it into discussion. And even in its pre-buffed state, it is actually really, really good. With perks like Hatchling, Paracausal Affinity, Frenzy, Reconstruciton, Target Lock, etc., it is very viable in endgame content. However, not every roll is made equal and some are better than the others, especially if you are looking to craft one. In this Destiny 2 guide, we will walk you through some of the best godrolls in Rufus’s Fury from Root of Nightmares raid.
Destiny 2 Rufus’s Fury Godroll
Like we always say, godrolls in Destiny 2 are always subjective. And instead of relying on someone else’s godroll, you should prefer using what you enjoy the most. As a general rule, however, you always want a reload perk combined with a damage perk, in PvE at least. With that out of the way, here are some of the Rufus’s Fury rolls that we recommend you chase from Root of Nightmares raid:
PvE Godroll
While Auto Rifles are generally outclassed by SMGs in almost every category, an upcoming 25% buff should make them more than viable in high-end content like Grandmasters, Raids, etc. Aside from this, the weapon has some really good perks that synergize well with various Strand builds like the Infinite Suspend or the Threadling Army builds that we have got. If you are out there looking for a good Rufus’s Fury for PvE, this is what you need to look out for:
Option 1
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Appended Mag.
- Column 1: Demolitionist
- Column 2: Hatchling
Option 2
- Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
- Magazine: Appended Mag.
- Column 1: Reconstruction
- Column 2: Target Lock / Frenzy
Another possible combo that you can look out for is Rewind Rounds paried with Paracausal Affinity. For those of you who do not know, you will need to be on a Strand/Stasis subclass if you wish to take advantage of Paracausal Affinity as it will not work with Light-based subclasses since it is a Strand weapon. Frenzy is also a very good damage boost that does not require you to do a whole lot aside from just being in combat for a while.
Also, if you are not someone who always chases the 5 out of 5 rolls, you can go by something like Flared Magwell, Tactical Mag., and any Barrel.
PvP Godroll
Similar to PvE, Auto Rifles are currently not in the best state in PvP. Still, if you do not want to sweat super hard, there are some decent perks that you can choose from. This is what we recommend for PvP:
- Barrel: Hammer-forged Rifling
- Magazine: High-Caliber Rounds or Ricochet Rounds
- Column 1: Moving Target
- Column 2: Target Lock
Alternatively, you can also go for something like Perpetual Motion in the left column and Tap the Trigger or Frenzy in the right column. Target Lock, however, is really good if you land all your shots.
