Singular Orbit is a triumph that you can complete during the Macrocosm encounter in the new Destiny 2: Root of Nightmare raid. Completing it is requirement to unlock the Dream Warrior title. It essentially requires you to make sure a player does not get the Planetary Insight twice in the same Planetary Shift.

Destiny 2: Root of Nightmare Singular Orbit Triumph

Before we begin, please note that the guide assumes that you are familiar with the way the encounter plays normally. This means spawning the Colossi, shifting planets, starting the DPS phase, etc. If you need help with it, you can see our detailed Macrocosm Encounter guide.

As mentioned earlier, to get the triumph, you will need to ensure that a player cannot get the Planetary Insight twice in the same Planetary Shift. There are multiple ways to do it but the method I have explained below is the one I have found the easiest:

You will need to split your fireteam into two + four. Two players are strictly on clearing enemies and nothing else — also make sure not to touch the Colossi which spawns on the platforms. The remaining players should be on the four platforms in the area. After the Colossi spawn, players on the top-left and top-right need to defeat both the Colossi on their sides.

After that, give the callouts and shift the planets. In the next rotation, the players on the down-left and down-right will defeat both the Colossi before starting the DPS phase. After it is over, return to your original positions and repeat the same thing until Explicator is dead.

As for the DPS, Rocket Launchers are amazing for this fight. You can also use things like Thunderlord’s, etc. but I recommend sticking to Rocket Launchers.
