Shields Up is a triumph which you can complete during the Scission encounter in the new Destiny 2: Root of Nightmare raid. It is a simple enough triumph that requires you not to kill the shielded enemies until your runners have completed both sets of nodes. Once it is completed, you will be able to complete the Dream Warrior title.
Destiny 2: Root of Nightmare Shields Up
Before we begin, please note that the guide assumes that you understand how the encounter works normally. This means you understand connecting the nodes, know how to Eager Skate, and are prepared to deal with some Barrier Champions. If you need help learning about these mechanics, you can refer to our Scission Encounter guide.
Shields Up has to be the easiest triumph to complete in the raid. The triumph basically requires you not to kill the immune enemies until both the node chains have been completed. This means that you cannot receive the buffs from the runners. It is also important to note that you cannot only kill the immune enemies. Totally feel free to clear the rest of the room as it will make it easier for the runners to do their jobs.
If you have got a couple of Warlocks with Phoenix Protocol, you should be able to easily chain Well of Radiance repeatedly until the node chains have been completed. Your runners should also communicate when they have completed the chains so that everyone can receive the buffs to kill the immune enemies. Also, in case you did not know, you cannot progress to the upper floor until all the enemies have been killed.
There is also a bug that prevents the shielded enemies from taking any damage even if you have the buff. In this case, you should try to pull The Colony from your Collections as it can penetrate the immunity shields. Other than this, you should also have the Swords with Eager Edge perk as the jumping pads do not work all the time.
Best Loadouts
As for the best loadouts, you should consider Well of Radiance, Stasis builds, Void Hunters, Ward of Dawn, etc. Other than this, Machine Guns, Waveframe GLs, etc. are really good.
