All Hands is the final raid challenge in the Root of Nightmares raid. It is completed during the Nezarec, the Final God of Pain encounter and is needed to get the Dream Warrior title. Completing the challenge on Master difficulty will also reward you with an Adept weapon. In this Destiny 2 guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about completing the All Hands raid challenge in Destiny 2: Root of Nightmares.

Root of Nightmares All Hands Raid Challenge

Before we begin, please do note that this guide assumes that you know how this encounter works normally. If you need help with it, you can feel free to check out our detailed Nezarec, the Final God encounter guide.

The challenge is fairly simple but requires a lot more communication between the teammates. In order to complete the All Hands challenge, each player in the team is needed to activate a node on both Light and Dark side on every DPS phase. You must also ensure that you activate the final nodes between 5 seconds of one anther or the challenge will fail.

We recommend splitting the team into two — one on Light side and one on Dark side. After you have activated a node on your side, you clear the adds a little, take Nezarec’s hatred if need be, and then activate a node on the other side. The only thing that you need to keep in mind is to activate the last node at roughly the same time — within 5 seconds of each other.

If your team is fast enough, you will not have to worry about taking the refuge to avoid the wipe mechanic as both sets of nodes will be completed before it. If you need to create a refuge, however, you will need to create it after activating three nodes.

Master Mode Tips

When it comes to completing the All Hands challenge on Master difficulty, there is not a whole lot that changes. Instead of Colossi in the area, you will need to deal with Barrier Champions. Also, since the challenge makes you a little slow, it is recommended that you create a refuge in every DPS phase. It also helps if you can one-phase Nezarec but it is going to be a little tough on Master unless you have 6 crazy good players on your team.

Lastly, completing the All Hands raid challenge on Master difficulty will reward you with an Adept weapon. Bungie has also announced that we will be able to enhance the perks on an Adept Weapon in the future which is why we recommend keeping any good rolls that you get. Aside from this, you will also get an Exotic Ship by defeating Nezarec, the Final God of Pain.
