Destiny 2: How To Prepare For Season Of The Wish

Share

Destiny 2 Season of the Wish has got an official trailer, and this is the next new Season coming soon. At the time of writing, you only have a week to prepare for the upcoming season and wrap up anything that you have yet to do. In this guide, I go over everything that you can do to prepare for Destiny 2 Season of the Wish.

How To Prepare For Destiny 2 Season Of The Wish

The following are the different ways in which you can prepare for Destiny 2 Season of the Wish:

Bounty Prep

This is something that older players know about, but if you are new to Destiny 2, then you basically need to complete bounties but not redeem them until the launch of the season. This will give you a quick and massive boost in experience and level up your battle pass, seasonal artifact. Leveling up the seasonal artifact means that you will need to spend less time unlocking the seasonal artifact mods.

Bounties that you can complete include:

  • Weekly bounties
  • Daily bounties
  • Repeatable bounties

Weekly bounties will reward you with the most amount of XP while the repeatable ones will give you the least. There aren’t a lot of weekly bounties left in the game, but the ones that we recommend picking up and completing are:

  • All of Hawthorne’s clan bounties
  • 2x Shaw Han’s weekly bounties
  • 4x Lectern of Enchantment weekly bounties (Moon)
  • 2x Eris Morn weekly bounties
  • 2x Variks weekly bounties (Europa)
  • Nimbus weekly bounty
  • Starhorse at Xur’s Treasure Horde
  • 2x Petra weekly bounties (Dreaming City)

You should prioritize the weekly bounties first but also pick up the daily bounties. The repeatable bounties give the least amount of XP, so you can ignore them.

Spend Your Legendary Shards

The currencies are changing in Destiny 2. In Season of the Wish, Legendary Shards are not going to be as useful, and moving on to The Final Shape, Legendary Shards are going to be removed entirely. So you should use this currency before the launch of Season of the Wish to make the most of it. You can visit Master Rahool at the tower to exchange the Legendary Shards that you have for Enhancement Cores and Prism.

Stock Up On Resources

Not only should you get rid of the Legendary Shards that you have been hoarding, but you also need to stock up on resources that you might not have. Glimmer is one of the important currencies, as it has always been in Destiny 2. So make sure that you have enough of it.

Invest In Upcoming Meta Shift

With the launch of the new season, there will be a new meta, and you should invest your time into what has been confirmed so far. Stasis is supposed to be big in Season of the Wish. You can expect to see some great Stasis artifact mods that are going to take your Stasis builds to the next level. Be sure to have all of your Stasis fragments unlocked, and you can even get armor pieces that boost your Stasis builds.

Hold Onto Your Glaives And Snipers

Glaives are getting reworked, so you will want to hold onto them. You can expect to see Exotic Glaives get the best buffs. If you do not have them, then you might want to farm them. Snipers have not been the go-to weapon type in previous seasons, but they have gotten buffs recently, and they are getting buffed even more in Season of the Wish. If you do not have exotics like the Whisper of the Worm, then now might be the time to get them.

This is how you can prepare for Destiny 2 Season of the Wish. To learn more, check out our guide on the Season of the Wish artifact mods.
