Destiny 2: Lightfall Winterbite Exotic Quest Guide

Winterbite is one of the most fun Exotics released in Destiny 2: Lightfall. It is a Stasis Heavy Glaive which is locked behind an Exotic Questline. It fires a projectile that freezes enemies in its path. Aside from this, it can also proc. freeze with melee hits as long as you have some ammo. In this guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about unlocking the Winterbite in Destiny 2: Lightfall.

Destiny 2: Lightfall Winterbite Exotic Questline

Before we start, please do note that Winterbite has a fairly lengthy questline. It is also impossible to complete it in a single sitting as you need to open Terminal Overload chests on three consecutive days. You will also need to open the chests which require a Terminal Overload Key or it will not work.

Unlocking the Strider Exotic Quest

After completing the Lightfall campaign, you need to enter the Hall of Heroes and interact with Archivist Quinn. After you are done, you need to run around the area and interact with different things. From there, you will need to complete 3 Memorial Quests i.e., Stargazer, Maelstorm, and Bluejay. After you are done, you will unlock the Strider questline.

Completing Terminal Overload

To complete the next step, you will need to do Terminal Overloads on three separate zones i.e., Zephyr Concourse, Ahimsa Park, and Liming Harbor. As mentioned earlier, these rotate daily so cannot complete it in one day. You will also need to have three Terminal Overload Keys to open the chests at the end.

Getting the Data Cipher

Your next step is to defeat Shadow Legion on Neomuna and collect a Data Cipher from the Gilded Precept (Lost Sector) in Ahimsa Park.

Repair the Memorial

After that, you need to visit the Hall of Heroes and repair the Memorials like you did in the earlier steps. Once you are down with that, you will need to head over to the Liming Harbor.

Vex Confluxes

After arriving in the Liming Harbor, you need to head over to Maya’s Retreat. After reaching the Quest Marker, you will need to defeat some Vex as well as disabling all the Vex Confluxes in the area. After you are done, you need to return to the Hall of Heroes to acquire the Winterbite.

Winterbite Perks

As mentioned earlier, it is a Stasis Heavy Glaive with some really decent damage output when paired with something like Synthoceps on Titans. As for its Exotic Perks, these are:

Big Frigid Glaive
Fires a large ball of energy that locks onto nearby targets and freezes them.

Weighted Edge
Melee attacks deal increased damage and slow targets when loaded with ammo.
