If there is one thing that we learned from the Day-1 Root of Nightmares raid is that Starfire Protocol will get nuked sooner or later. Once it is gone, your second best option is going to be Sunbracers with Solar Grenades. Not only these are really good area control but can also do a crazy amount of boss damage if you place them properly. The only thing that you will need to learn is to make sure that you are getting kills with Sunbracers to proc. the perk or the whole build falls apart. In this guide, we have detailed everything you need to know about the best Sunbracers Build for Solar Warlocks in Destiny 2: Lightfall.
Destiny 2: Lightfall Sunbracers Solar Build for Warlocks
Before we begin, it is important to note that some of the pieces in the build can be swapped to your preference, depending on the type of content that you are doing. For instance, you can choose to run Dawnblade if you do not want Well of Radiance. Alternatively, you can also choose anything between Phoenix Dive or a Rift. Other than that, weapons are flexible as well. The only thing that we do recommend that you run is a weapon with Incandescent. With that said, here is a complete overview of the build:
|Well of Radiance
|Phoenix Dive, Burst Glide, Incinerator Snap, Solar Grenade
Aspects and Fragments
|Heat Rises, Touch of Flame
|Ember of Wonder, Ember of Searing, Ember of Resolve, and Ember of Ashes
You need to use Sunbraces which will provide you with infinite Solar Grenades for a brief time after getting a kill with your melee ability.
|2x Ashes to Assets, Solar Siphon
|Firepower, Heavy Handed, Momentum Transfer
|Void Damage Resist, Arc Damage Resist, Solar Damage Resist
|Solar Weapon Surge, Recuperation, Innervation
|Outreach, 2x Time Dilation
When it comes to stats. distribution, you need to have T10 Discipline and Resilience if possible. After that, you can invest in Recovery, Intelligence, and Strength.
As for recommended weapons, try to have any weapon with Incandescent. For instance, Calus Mini Tool, Prometheus Lens, etc. are all very good options. Other than that, feel free to use whatever you want. There is a lot of flexibility when it comes to choosing weapons.
For your basic gameplay loop, you will need to consume your Solar Grenade, jump into the air to get a kill with your melee, and spam Solar Grenades all over the area. Getting kills in the air will return your melee ability. If it is not returned, try to use your weapons until it is back up.
Also, make sure to pick up Orbs of Power in the area in order to feed your Well of Radiance. It should be up in under a minute or so. Continue to do the loop.
