If you have played Destiny 2 this past week, you must have encountered or heard of the infamous Invisibility Bug that a lot of people are complaining about. It basically renders the entire character model invisible which results in player not being able to aim down sights. And while it does not make game entirely unplayable, it is extremely frustrating. This is particularly very bad in PvP since not being able to see your enemies is a massive disadvantage. There are, however, some fixes which you can use to solve this Invisibility Bug in Destiny 2: Lightfall.
Fix Invisibility Bug in Destiny 2: Lightfall
Similar to the Invisibility Bug itself, fixing it is also fairly random. The only thing which a lot of people have confirmed working with a decent success rate is restarting the game. This also means activities such as PvP, Gambit, etc. will inflict a penalty for leaving matches. As I mentioned earlier, it is also possible for it to be fixed randomly i.e., swapping weapons, dying, switching characters, etc. However, none of these are one hundred percent confirmed.
Alternatively, you can also clear cache, verify the integrity of the files, update drivers, etc. to see if it helps but we are not sure. Lastly, do note that Bungie has acknowledged its existance. Hopefully, it is something which will be fixed before the Raid Race in a few days.
We are investigating an issue where some player characters and weapons appear invisible after repeated interactions with the post-activity Commendations screen. It is recommended to restart the game app to resolve this issue.
