Wicked Implement is the newest Stasis-based Exotic Scout Rifle added to Destiny 2. The weapon by itself is mediocre at best but when paired with its Exotic Catalyst, it can be somewhat viable for a few Stasis builds out there. Wicked Implement Catalyst basically grants it a Stasis version of Overflow which is not the best thing on an Exotic Scout Rifle. To get the Wicked Implement Catalyst in Destiny 2, you will need to complete a series of objectives in Deep Dive. In this Destiny 2 guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about unlocking the Wicked Implement Exotic Catalyst.
Destiny 2 Wicked Implement Catalyst
Before acquiring its Exotic Catalyst, you must first obtain the Wicked Implement. This can be done by completing an elaborate questline that requires catching Exotic Fish, finding hidden statues, and completing a secret mission in Deep Dive.
Unlocking the Catalyst
To get the Exotic Catalyst for Wicked Implement, you will need to complete a Tier-7 Deep Dive activity and open the chest at the end.
To trigger a Tier-7 Deep Dive, you must complete three Pressure Trials by interacting with Toland at the start of all three encounters. Some people have also reported that it can also drop from completing a Tier-5 Deep Dive but you should try and stick to Tier-7 just to be safe.
Since it can get pretty difficult, we recommend having a premade fireteam to complete a Tier-7 Deep Dive. For those who have not done it before, it is almost equivalent to a Nightfall on Master difficulty.
Once you defeat the final boss, open the Tier-7 chest to obtain the Exotic Catalyst.
Is it Good?
Wicked Implement Exotic Scout Rifle Catalyst gives it a Stasis-based Overflow. With the Exotic Catalyst equipped, collecting Stasis Shards will gradually Overflow the magazine aside from reloading it.
Even with the Exotic Catalyst, Wicked Implement is a fairly average weapon. While you can use it if you really want to but it does not warrant an Exotic Slot. There are some Legendary Scout Rifles that are much better options.
How to Complete the Catalyst
To complete the Exotic Catalyst, you need to get multiple kills with it. You need to get a total of 700 enemy kills with the Wicked Implement to complete it. Some of the places where you can do it include Shuro Chi, Altar of Sorrow, the opening of Grasp of Avarice, Golgoroth, Blind Well, etc.
This is all we have got on how to get the Wicked Implement Catalyst in Destiny 2. If there is anything else that you would like to add, be sure to let us know.
