As a reward for completing the Devil’s Lair Grandmaster Nightfall this week, you will get the Adept version of The Swarm Legendary machine gun. As this is an adept weapon, you can slot adept mods on it which makes it an impressive reward. Not to mention that this is a pretty powerful weapon on its own. In this Destiny 2 guide, we are going to walk you through the best loadouts, weapons and abilities that you should use in order to complete the Devil’s Lair Grandmaster Nightfall.
Note that the Swarm Legendary machine gun is not guaranteed but the drop rate is pretty high so you will most likely get it when you complete the Nightfall.
Best Loadouts For Devil’s Lair Grandmaster Nightfall In Destiny 2
You will need to be 1325 power level in order to take on the Devil’s Lair Grandmaster Nightfall and there are plenty of modifiers that you need to keep in mind. They are all mentioned below:
- Arach-No: When defeated, Fallen Vandals spawn a web mine at their feet.
- Overload Champions: Cannot be stopped without Overload mod.
- Barrier Champions: Cannot be stopped without Anti-Battier mod.
- Chaff: Radar is disabled.
- Grandmaster Mods: Contest, Join in progress disabled, Mob champions, Extra shields
- Sepik’s Gaze: Increases incoming Arc and splash damage.
- Match Game: Enemy shields are highly resistant to unmatched elemental damage.
- Equipment Locked: Cannot change equipment once the activity is launched.
- Extinguish: If your fireteam falls during no respawn zone then you will be booted to orbit.
- Limited Revives: Limited revives. Gain more by defeating champions.
For the first part of the Nightfall, you want to use a mini sparrow and just race through the enemies that are in the area. You might be tempted to take them on but we recommend skipping them entirely. A sparrow like The Mirthmobile is a good option.
Devil’s Lair Grandmaster Nightfall Loadout
In the Grandmaster, Nightfall super synergy is going to play a major role. Right off the bat, a Warlock with Pheonix Protocol and Well of Radiance is going to help you.
With that out of the way, a Titan with Sentinel Shield and Ursa Furiosa gauntlets is also going to play a major role. Enemies in grandmaster Nightfalls deal a lot of damage. Blocking all that damage is going to give you 80% of your super back when your Sentinel Shield wears off. This is going to increase your chances of survival while blocking incoming damage and getting the chance to safely deal damage.
We also recommend another Warlock with Chaos Reach and Geo Mags to help deal a lot of damage and clear enemy waves from a distance. You can use Geo with mods like Special Finisher. This does use some of your super energy but the Geo Mags are going to top off your super.
For weapons, we can recommend Ticuu’s Divination exotic bow. We can also recommend using Points of the Stag with Vorpal Weapon. For Void shields, you can use the Imperial Needle legendary bow. You can use these with overload rounds.
We also recommend keeping a sniper rifle. You can use Eye of Sol with Vorpal Weapon. For the heavy weapons, we recommend using Anarchy or any decent rocket launcher. For mods, we recommend stacks on stacks, protective light, charges with light, and any other mods that are not only going to help you but the rest of your team as well.
The Final Boss
The Warlock with the Well needs to use it inside the room in a way that some of it goes out. It is not going to be blocked by the walls. This is important because if the Titan is inside the well then the damage block from the shield is not going to regenerate super energy.
This spot is also going to cover all the enemy lanes so it is the best spot to agro the mobs and take that incoming fire in order to regen as much as your super as possible. The others can hang back inside the Well and deal damage while staying behind the shield of the Titan.
Once the shield of the Titan expires, you will have a second to pick up a couple of orbs. After that, you can run back into the room in order to be safe and not be one-shotted by one of the enemies. That is possible even when you are inside the well.
This is the loadout that we recommend for the Devil’s Lair Grandmaster Nightfall in Destiny 2. If you are interested in learning more about the game then you can check out our guide on how you can get Bottom Dollar. For more content related to the game, you can check out our Destiny 2 guides hub.
