Destiny 2 the Arms Dealer Grandmaster Nightfall Ordeal – Best Builds, Boss Cheese, Tips

Grandmaster Nightfall Ordeal for the 3rd week is The Arms Dealer on EDZ. Just like the previous GM Nightfall, you need to be at least Power Level 1025 to start them. However, due to the “Contest Mode” being active, being higher than 1025 does not give you any kind of incentive. You will also need a pre-made fireteam of 3 because it does not support matchmaking. In this guide, we will walk you through everything you need to know about completing The Arms Dealer Grandmaster Nightfall Ordeal in Destiny 2 Season of the Worthy for the Conqueror title/seal.

Destiny 2 The Arms Dealer Grandmaster Nightfall Ordeal

Before we go into the best strategies, let us first talk about things you can expect to run into:

Champions Unstoppable and Barrier
Shields Void, Arc, and Solar
Boss Melt Not Possible

When it comes to The Arms Dealer, you do not have to worry about Overload Champions. You will, however, have to deal with all three types of elemental shields. And since “Matchgame” is always on in GMs, it can cause a lot of trouble so be sure to prepare accordingly. When it comes to fireteam composition, there are a handful of viable options.

  • 3x bottom-tree Nightstalkers
  • 3x WoR Warlock with Phoenix Protocol
  • 2x WoR Warlock with Phoenix Protocol, 1x bottom-tree Nightstalker
  • 1x bottom-tree Nightstalker, 1x Sentinel Shield Titan with Ursa Furiosa, 1x WoR Warlock with Phoenix Protocol

Coming to weapons and mods, you again have a lot of options to choose from. Some of the notable ones include:

Kinetic Seventh Seraph Revolver, Austringer, Spare Rations, Izanagi’s Burden
Energy Eriana’s Vow, Recluse, Divinity, Any Solar SMG
Heavy Temporal Clause, 21% Delirium, Hammerhead, Wendigo GL3
Mods Minor Resist, Major Resist, Boss Resist, Resilience/Recovery Mods, Unstoppable Shot, Global Reach, Burning Cells, Rage of the Warmind, Cellular Suppression, Anti-Barrier Rounds, and Fireteam Healer

It is a good idea to let the guy running Divinity also run Unstoppable Shot and Temporal Clause. The rest can go whatever they feel comfortable with.

Tips and Strategies

The basic idea is to take your time and not try to rush things. After arriving in the first open area, see if you can destroy the Thrasher above and then proceed ahead.

Also, do note that you can skip the entirety of the bridge section by taking the shortcut from the left side. Never use sparrows though. During the section with two tanks, try to use your Izanagi’s Burden or Eriana’s Vow to deal damage to them from a distance. If you stay behind the Sentinel Titan shield, you should be able to deal with 3x Unstoppable Champions with ease, especially with a Tether.

When it comes to the boss, remember that he will one-shot you if you are low on Resilience. Therefore, try to move away if you see him aiming at you. Alternatively, have Boss Resist and Resilience mods slotted. Just try to play it safe and you should be able to complete it.

Final Boss Cheese

If you are having trouble in the final boss room, try to clear the enemies in the area and wait for the boss to go inside the bubble above. At this point, a charge will spawn and you will have to deposit it to progress the fight.

However, if you do not deposit the charge and continue to toss Solar Grenades, Vortex Grenades, Nova Bombs on the boss from below, you will slowly continue to whittle away at its HP without having to worry about enemies or the boss shooting at you.
