Destiny 2 Arbalest’s Catalyst

Arbalest was already top-tier in endgame activities like Grandmasters, Master VoG due to Particle Deconstruction, however, the newly added exotic catalyst makes it even better even without the mod. Before we talk about unlocking the catalyst, let us take a look at what it does:

In addition to generating Orbs of Power on multikills, the exotic catalyst also increases handling, increased ammo in the mag., and grants it Genesis which provides ammo from reserves upon breaking a shield. Also, for the people who are not caught up, Arbalest also has intrinsic Anti-barrier rounds now which makes a really good choice for any activiy with Barriers.

As for unlocking the catalyst, it is completely random. The player can randomly acquire it after the completion of NFs, Crucible, or Gambit matches. We got in our very first NF (Legend) of the 30th Anniversary bundle. However, remember that it is completely RNG-based. It may take the player one or multiple tries to get it.

While not confirmed but rumor has it that completing all unlocked catalyst that a player has significantly increases the chances of dropping new catalysts. Therefore, try to complete any unfinished catalysts lying around. As for completing Arbalest’s catalyst, it requires a total of 500 kills – Thrallway checkpoint, Shuro Chi, etc. are best to do so.

This is all we have got in how to unlock Arbalest’s catalyst in Destiny 2. For more help on the game, feel free to check out our detailed guides on Destiny 2 content page.
