Altars of Summoning is the newest Seasonal Activity in Destiny 2: Season of the Witch. Similar to Blind Well in the Dreaming City, you can set your own difficulty by using Offerings — more on it later. While playing Altars of Summoning, you will continue to complete different encounters for a chance to earn Seasonal Rewards. Destiny 2: Season of the Witch Altars of Summoning
Altars of Summoning is a matchmade activity that requires the team to complete a series of objectives using Offerings. Similar to Blind Well, there are multiple tiers of difficulty that you can activate by using one of three types of Offerings i.e. Feeble, Robust, and Powerful.
To start the Altars of Summoning, you will need to launch it from the H.E.L.M. and activate the large plate in the middle of the arena.
Activate T3 Altars of Summoning
As mentioned earlier, Offerings decide how tough the activity will be. There are three types of Offerings i.e. Feeble, Robust, and Powerful. To start a T3, you will need to deposit the Powerful one. To use an Offering, you will need to head over to one of three Altars in the arena.
- Feeble: 1x Sword on the Altar.
- Robust: 2x Swords on the Altar.
- Powerful: 3x Swords on the Altar.
Encounters
There are different encounters that you will need to complete in AOS. Here is a brief rundown of these encounters:
Hive Crystals
You will need to punch a Hive Crystal to damage the boss. Once it is immune, continue to punch the Hive Crystals in the area until its shield is removed.
Hive Runes
You will need to defeat Wizard to get Tributes. Once collected, you will deposit them at the glowing spot. Fairly straightforward.
Vex
You will face three bosses in the area. While dealing with these bosses, you will need to prevent Hobgoblins from sacrificing at the Vex Nodes.
Scorn
In this fight, you will have to beat Abominations and break crystals with melee. After you destroy the shields on these Abominations, simply defeat them to complete the encounter.
How to Get Offerings
To get Offerings for Altars of Summoning, you will need to complete the Savathun’s Spire and Altars of Summoning. Open the chests at the end of these activities for a chance to get Offerings.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that you do not have to return to Orbit after completing a run of Altars of Summoning. You can stay in the area and wait for more people to join to keep on going.
