The Red Prince in Remnant 2 is an optional boss found in the Gilded Chambers of Losomn. It is arguably one of the best fights in Remnant 2 and easily missable if you do not know what you are doing. On top of that, the rewards you get from it can carry you through the entire campaign. This guide covers the Red Prince fight in great detail along with some tips to help you succeed.
Defeat the Red Prince in Remnant 2
While fighting the Red Prince, you should always try to aim for the head since that is his weakspot. Almost any weapon that is half-decent should do the job — Sporebloom, Nightfall, Blackmaw AR-47, Crescent Moon, Widowmaker, etc. are all good options. As for Weapon Mods, avoid using things like Hot Shot, Witchfire, etc. since he is immune to fire. Instead try to go for something like Corrosive Rounds if possible.
When the fight begins, you should try to stay as close as possible. Continue to land headshots until he does his sword swings. Immediately dodge to the side before dealing damage again. It is also very important to take advantage of the arena. There are two levels in the arena so make sure you are down when he is up and vice versa.
As for his attacks, there is not a whole lot going on. Here is a brief rundown:
| Fireballs | You will see hurl multiple fireballs in your direction. These also Curse you so make sure to dodge them if possible. |
| Clones | Throughout the fight, the Red Prince will continue to create his clones which mimic his attacks. Luckily, these clones do not have much HP so you should try to prioritize them. |
| Tornado | At about 50% HP, the Red Prince will cover the entire arena in fire. You will need to stay in the middle and damage him whenever he appears. |
| Sword Swings | While in the Tornado phase, he will continue to wail away at you with his swords. These can do a lot of damage so be sure to time your dodges perfectly. |
Rewards
After you manage to defeat the Red Prince, you will receive these rewards:
- Scrap
- Tome of Knowledge
- Lumenite Crystals x3
- Forlorn Fragment to craft Firestorm
- Crown of the Red Prince if you kill him with the Assassin’s Dagger
Alternate Reward
If you really need the Mod: Blood Draw, you present 3x Crimson King Coins to the Red Prince. Once presented, you will respawn at the nearest World Stone with the Bloody Steel Splinter in hand — take it to McCabe to craft the Mod. After that, the Red Prince will disappear from your instance. As for farming Crimson King Coins, these drop from Elites called the Sword Fae found in the Gilded Chambers.
