Trinkets in Deathloop offer a lot of different benefits e.g., improved reload speed, recoil deviation, and so much more. These can be found out in the world and are the primary resource when it comes to upgrading weapons in the game – making them more powerful. This is, however, not the permanent method as a weapon upgraded using Trinkets is bound to return to its normal state at the end of the 24-hour cycle. In this guide, we have detailed all there is to know about how to upgrade weapons in Deathloop.
How to Upgrade Weapons Deathloop
In order to upgrade weapons in Deathloop, the player needs to collect an item called Trinket. But how does one find these Trinkets? These are scattered all over Blackreef Island. Do note that these Trinkets are usually located in hard-to-find places i.e., inside an Eternalist base, etc.
After a Trinket has been acquired, it is automatically added to the inventory. Now all that remains is to select the ‘Infuse Gear’ option and then select ‘Weapon Trinkets’. Doing this will upgrade the weapon but only for the current day – it will automatically expire after the day ends. To counteract that, the player should infuse the Trinket with Residuum.
Another thing that needs to be kept in mind is that better weapons provide the players with increased slots for Trinkets. Weapons that are Purple or Gold in color should have the maximum number of slots. Lastly, as mentioned above, Trinkets come in various qualities and offer a range of different effects. Some of these effects include but are not limited to increase magazine size, faster reload speed, adjustable recoil, etc.
