Aside from fast traveling, vehicles are the fastest way of moving around the post-apocalyptic America in Death Stranding. You won’t have access to these vehicles from the start and must unlock them first. Our Death Stranding Vehicles Guide will detail everything about unlocking all the motorbikes and cars in the game, charging (refueling) them, and repairing them.

Death Stranding Vehicles

To unlock vehicles in Death Stranding, complete [Order No. 23] Retrieval: System Server mission and return to Lake Knot City. Completing the Main Mission will unlock a 3-wheeler named the Reverse Trike.

As for unlocking other vehicles in the game, you need to complete deliveries and level up different facilities. It’s all pretty simple, to be honest. Just play the game as normal and you’ll continue to unlock vehicles.

When it comes to crafting vehicles in Death Stranding, larger vehicles such as trucks require way more crafting materials as compared to a motorcycle. But which types of vehicle should you craft in Death Stranding?

The answer to this is simple: what you’re looking to get done as all vehicles have their pros and cons. For instance, trucks allow you to carry cargo in a safe way. Motorbikes, on the other hand, are fast but can’t carry the same amount of cargo as a truck. Moreover, the cargo on a bike is unprotected against MULEs.

How to Charge/Refuel Vehicles?

You can’t use a vehicle indefinitely. Sooner or later, you’ll have to charge/refuel them to use them again. To do so, you must find a generator.

To do so, you need to accept [Order No. 11] Resins Delivery: Distribution Center West of Capital Knot City. Accepting the said order should unlock the generator. To use it, you need to head to a terminal and craft a PCC.

Once done, you need to exit the terminal and craft PCC and build a generator. This should allow you to charge your vehicles in Death Stranding.

How to Repair Vehicles?

Vehicles can also take damage from MULEs and overuse. To repair them, you must bring damaged vehicles to a garage in any facility. You can check out our vehicles repairing guide for more info. on this.

To find a garage, you need to head to Sam’s private room and park the damaged vehicle at the entrance of the private room. Once done, simply head inside your private room and sleep to repair the broken vehicle.

It’s also important to note here that you can store multiple vehicles in a garage and can also retrieve vehicles of other players if you’re playing online.

This is all we’ve got in our Death Stranding Vehicles Guide. For more help on Death Stranding, check out our Structures Guide, Chiral Crystals Farming Guide, and Avoiding MULE Scanner Guide.
