In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, players spend hours completing the game. It is useful to know where the save file location is on your PC in case you want to go back to a certain point or move to another system. To do so, you must know where the game file location is saved on your PC. These save files are hidden inside your directory, which makes it tricky to locate these save files.
Here’s how to locate the save file location of Death Stranding 2 and also what to do before moving or editing anything in that file.
Save File Location Death Stranding 2
| Client | Save File Location |
|---|---|
| Steam | C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\DEATH STRANDING 2 – ON THE BEACH\ |
Go to the folder where you have installed the game; by default, it is the C drive. In the C drive, open the folder Death Stranding 2-On the Beach. That game folder, by its name, will be in Documents. There is a subfolder with some random numbers or letters. Open that, and you will find the save file location.
The path I mentioned for Steam installation is the default one. If you have installed Steam on another drive, open the Steam folder through that path, and then open the userdata folder to locate the save file of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
As you can also play the game via Epic Games Launcher, the path for the save file location is the same.
Quick Access to Save File Location
To quickly access the save file location, just paste the following path into Windows Run or Explorer:
%USERPROFILE%\documents\DEATH STRANDING 2 – ON THE BEACH\
Is it possible to transfer Save Files from PS5 to PC?
Sadly, the cross-platform save file location cannot be transferred in this case from PS5 to PC. But sharing across the same platform is allowed.
How to transfer saves to another PC.
Once you have the location of the save file, to transfer the save file to another system or PC, just follow these steps:
- Create a backup of the save folder by copying the entire save folder to a USB/cloud storage/external storage.
- Open the new PC, if it’s not installed, then install it and don’t start the game yet.
- Go to the same safe file location that is mentioned earlier on the new PC.
- Now, paste the whole save folder to the same location and replace any existing files if necessary.
- Launch the game and check if your progress is updated or not. If the progress is not updated, then make sure the path is the same for both the PC.
