Dead Space was released in 2008 and recently received a remake for an actual next-gen experience on PS5, XBOX X/S, and PC. The visuals have been a central focus for the development team, and it shows. The game, indeed, looks phenomenal. Although this does come with a hefty ‘minimum requirement hardware’ for PC users. Not just the graphics but some minor changes have also been made. The most significant change is moving from a silent protagonist to a talking one. Isaac Clark speaks in this remake but rarely. Another change that the players will notice in Dead Space Remake is a slightly different location for the highly sought-after Peng Treasure.
Peng Treasure was the most valuable hidden treasure (30,000 Store Credits) and could be found in Chapter 11 of Dead Space 2008. This remains unchanged for the remake, but the location is slightly changed. In 2008, you needed the Telekinesis ability to pull the treasure towards you in Hangar Bay. You will still require the Telekinesis ability, but the location is different.
While attempting the “Engage the Cargo Crane” objective, you will find yourself in a ‘Cargo Bay.’ Take the lift down in the Cargo Bay. The marker will lead you toward a room but look behind you before entering. There will be a stack of crates you can lift and move aside, revealing a ‘Peng’ poster. This will open up a path towards some lockers, and one of these lockers will contain the Peng Treasure.
You receive the same achievement as Dead Space 2008: “There’s Always Peng.” The treasure can be sold at the store for 30,000 Store Credits, making it one of the most significant treasures you can get your hands on in the game. This can be very helpful for buying resources and upgrades.
