The Helicoprion is one of the bosses that you will fight alongside the Sea People. Like other bosses in the game, this one has a special mechanic that you need to figure out in order to beat it. In this Dave the Diver guide, we go over how you can defeat the Helicoprion boss.
How To Find Helicoprion
The Helicoprion is part of the main storyline, so you can’t miss it. You will encounter it during chapter six of the game when you lower the heat and have access to the bottom levels of the Glacial Area. While trying to activate the third switch, you will encounter the Helicoprion.
How To Defeat The Helicoprion Boss In Dave The Diver
Once the encounter starts, the boss will aggro you, and you cannot distract it no matter what you do.
Avoid The Slash And Dash Attack
The Helicoprion will lash its face around and then dash at you. To avoid this move, you need to stay close to the boss and then move up or down to counter the attack. These attacks do a lot of damage, so you should avoid getting hit by any one of those lashes.
Use The Divine Fruits
You can use the Divine Fruits to disable the boss for a short period of time. Get close to one and then bait the boss into chasing you. Once it is close, hit the Divine Fruit to disable the boss. This will give you time to deal damage.
After you use the Divine Fruit, you will not be able to use it again for some time. You will need to use the other one or kite the boss around for a while.
Use Your Environment
Take advantage of the charge attacks that the boss uses. Bait it into charging into the rocks below, and it will get stuck. These rocks can only be used once, so they will run out. Make the most of them while they are there. You can empty your whole magazine into the boss while it is stuck if you are fast enough.
Check The Weapon Cache
There is a weapon cache in the boss area. Use it to get a weapon upgrade or a better weapon that you can use against the boss.
