Luckily there are plenty of different guns that you can get in the game and even upgrade them to increase their effectiveness. The Best Weapons In Dave The Diver
The best weapons in Dave the Diver are subjective and depend on your playstyle. With that in mind, the following are some of the weapons that we found to be effective and useful.

Red Sniper Rifle
The Red Sniper Rifle has the most base damage (32 per shot) out of all the weapons in the game. Its 20 range allows you to shoot at foes from a distance. It also has laser sights, which allows it to be very accurate. The only downside to this weapon is that you can only shoot three shots before you need to find more ammo. You will need to find blueprints of this weapon in weapon caches while you are diving to unlock this weapon. You will need the following resources to craft the Red Sniper Rifle in Dave the Diver:
- 1x Glass
- 2x Scrap Iron
- 3x Iron Ore
- 50x Gold
Grenade Launcher
The Grenade Launcher fires grenades that can explode underwater. It deals 30 damage per shot and has a range of 10. It has 6 rounds in the magazine which is decent, keeping in mind the amount of damage that it does. You will need to find the following resources to craft the Grenade launcher in Dave the Diver:
- 3x Iron Ore
- 3x Lead Ore
- 100x Gold
Sticky Bomb Gun
If you do not want to get too close to fish, then you can use the adhesive ammo of the Sticky Bomb Gun. The bombs explode after a few seconds, leaving you with enough time to leave the blast radius. It deals 20 damage, has 7 range, and a single magazine has 5 shots. You will need to find blueprints for the weapon and then craft it using the following resources:
- 2x Scrap Iron
- 3x Lead Ore
- 100x Gold
Sharp Japanese Sword
While it all comes down to personal preference, the Shapr Japanese Sword is one of the best melee weapons in the game. It does 10 damage per standard attack, but you can charge your attacks to deal 32 damage. This is a quick weapon that is a major improvement over your knife. You can find it in caches while diving.
Hush Dart
Dealing a ton of damage in not everything in Dave the Diver, since damaged fish will reduce their rating. Plus, some fish can be caught alive. If you want to put fish to sleep and catch them alive, then you can use the Hush Dart. The weapon has 5 range, but a magazine only has 3 shots. So you will need to look for ammo often. You will need the following resources to craft the Hush Dart in Dave the Diver:
- 2x Red Starfish
- 2x Orange Starfish
- 3x Copper Ore
- 50x Gold
Net Gun
The Net Gun also allows you to immobilize fish, so you can catch them alive and get the highest rating. Plus, it allows you to catch up to 7 fish at the same time if you aim correctly and time your shots right. It has 5 range and a magazine size of 3, so the ammo economy is not ideal. You will need the following resources to craft the Net Gun in Dave the Diver:
- 4x Rope
- 2x Scrap Iteon
- 100X Gold
How To Craft And Upgrade Weapons In Dave The Diver
You can craft and upgrade weapons using Duff’s Weapon Shop app on your phone. This app is not unlocked from the get-go, and you will need to progress the game a little bit to unlock the feature. Once you have the app unlocked, you will need to search for weapon blueprints while diving. These are found in caches.
Once you have three blueprints and the required crafting resources, you can launch the Duff’s Weapon Shop app to craft the weapon. You can press Left CTRL on your keyboard to upgrade weapons, as long as you have the required resources.
