PC video games often face errors and issues and Darkest Dungeon seems to be no exception. PC players are experiencing the Darkest Dungeon crash while playing and here is how to fix it.
How To Fix Darkest Dungeon Crash
There are multiple reasons behind the Darkest Dungeon crashing issue on PC. Before we start with the fixes, let’s go through some basic ones. Give the game admin rights. Right-click Darkest Dungeon’s exe > properties > Compatibility tab > check “Run this program as administrator” and hit apply.
Another reason for the game to crash is the use of third-party tools and software like RGB software, MSI Afterburner, mouse and keyboard software, and more. Disable any third-party software you have installed and also disable Steam overlay and Geforce Experience overlay. This will fix the game’s crashing issue.
If the above fixes fail to fix this issue, open Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > program Settings > select Darkest Dungeon. Set “Ultra” for Low Latency mode and select off for Tripple Buffering. Apply these settings and it will fix the in-game crash issue.
That is all for our Darkest Dungeon fix for the in-game crash issue. If you are facing errors and issues with other PC games or your PC then also see our hub for commonly occurring PC errors and their fixes.
