Similar to previous iterations in the series, Dark Souls 3 lets players choose a Burial Gift at the beginning of the game. There are 9 Burial Gifts in total and aim to provide players a slight advantage during the early hours of the game. Players can, however, choose to start their journeys without a Burial Gift. Another important thing to keep in mind is that none of these Burial Gifts are missable as they can easily be found while playing the game. In this guide, we’ve detailed everything there’s to know about all the Burial Gifts in Dark Souls 3.
Dark Souls 3 Burial Gifts
Below, players can find a complete list of all the Burial Gifts that players can choose from at the start of Dark Souls 3.
A small ring that can be equipped to increase the maximum HP of players.
A consumable that completely replenishes HP and removes all status ailments.
Another consumable that completely restores FP – ideal for players who wish to build around magic.
Players get a stack of 5x Black Firebombs that are great against the tutorial boss i.e. Iudex Gundyr.
An upgrade material that’s needed to upgrade fire-based weapons in the game – ideal for players who love pyromancy.
It transforms into the ‘Soul of a Nameless Soldier’ when chosen and grants 2,000 souls when consumed.
A stack of 7x Gold Coins that boost item discovery for a brief period of time.
Cracked Red Eye Orb
Players get a stack of 4x Cracked Red Eye Orbs. It’s an online item that’s one-time use only and is required to invade other players.
Young White Branch
It can be used to blend into the environment or given to the Giant Archer in the Undead Settlement as a token of peace.
For PvE, we highly recommend things like Life Ring, Fire Gem, Sovereignless Soul, and the Black Firebomb. For PvP, on the other hand, Cracked Red Eye Orb is the only viable option.
